OUT NOW! - Sean takes the lead role of Hjalmar Ekdal in an audio adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 'The Wild Duck' once again for Fantom Films.

Written in 1884, 'The Wild Duck' is considered by many to be one of Ibsen's finest works, it tells the story of Gregers Werle (played by Laurence Saunders), a young man who returns to his hometown after an extended exile and is reunited with his boyhood friend Hjalmar Ekdal.

RELEASED - MARCH 2010 from Fantom Films.

 

 

 


JUST BEEN ON! - In 'Scorched', Sean plays the Taxi Driver in this brand new play from Nicola Jones. Set in the present day, memories of the long, very hot summer of 1976 force a Midland's family to confront some difficult truths. 'Scorched' was directed for the BBC by Peter Leslie Wild.

After a near-disastrous collision with an asteroid in space, the TARDIS makes an emergency landing in Elizabethan England...

Sean plays Iguano the Spanish Dwarf, servant to the 'corpselike' Velez. Kit Marlowe is attempting to write his masterpiece, 'Doctor Faustus', what can Velez offer Marlowe to give the playwright his 'inspiration'..?

OUT SOON! - Sean had the great pleasure of recording an audio adaptation of the classic 1923 stage play 'The Ghost Train' by Arnold Ridley (better known as Private Godfrey from 'Dad's Army') for Fantom Films. Sean plays baddie Doctor John Sterling (aka Herr Otto Sneitz of Hamburg!) with lashings of stiff upper lip!

 

'The Ghost Train' will be RELEASED - SUMMER 2010 from Fantom Films.

'The Silver Pigs' is the first in the series, which introduces us to "private informer" Didius Falco, who is the Ancient Roman equivalent of a modern day private investigator. Soon, Falco finds himself in an inhospitable outpost of the Empire called Britain, where the weather is filthy, the natives restless and the women angry. There he meets Helena Justina, a spirited aristocrat who becomes an important part of his life. But if he does not tread carefully, the treacherous puzzle of the silver pigs could be the death of him...Dramatised in 4 parts for radio by Mary Cutler and directed for the BBC by Peter Leslie Wild.

Sean plays Silver in this Classic Serial originally transmitted on BBC Radio 4 in 2002 which celebrated the 30th anniversary of it's publication. 'Watership Down' was directed by Peter Leslie Wild.

"Ood Glorious Ood!" - Sean recently bumped into Hyde Fundraisers at Birmingham Central Library where they were taking part in the St George's Day celebrations in the city. Famous 'Doctor Who' monsters featured included the Sycorax, Clockwork Droid, Pig Guards and the Cybermen.

As well as an Ood Sean met up with his son Davros (creator of The Daleks) at the event where father and son enjoyed a heartfelt reunion..! (see Sean's Big Finish page for an explanation!!)...

Since 1985 Hyde Fundraisers have supported a vast array of charities with their fundraising, from local hospitals to well established national organisations.

BEEN ON! - Sean plays Dave in 'Skeggy' by Chris Thompson. In this one off radio drama a runaway teenager in Skegness brings three separate partnerships closer together. 'Skeggy' was originally aired in 1999 on BBC Radio 4 and was directed by Peter Leslie Wild.

 


BEEN ON! - Sean plays Mac in this 5 part Woman's Hour Drama Serial adapted from the critically acclaimed stage play 'Bollywood Jane' by Amanda Whittington, click here to go to Amanda's website. Single mum Kate has done a runner from the bloke next door (Mac). After landing up in Leicester with Jane, her disenchanted 16 year old daughter, it's all looking pretty grim. But when Jane meets local lad Dini, she's swept into the fantasy world of Shak Ruhk Khan and Bollywood films. Life is more fun in sequins and saris but Jane, Dini and Kate soon find they can't escape reality forever. 'Bollywood Jane' was directed for the BBC by Kate Chapman.

ON SOON! - Sean directed his first radio play called 'Coming Home' by Nicky Dowd for the Community Radio Rep. With a cast completely made up of second-generation Irish it tells the hilarious 'almost-true' story of the recently deceased Thomas Looney, a boozing Gaelic football-playing builder, who's body is being sent 'back home' for a big 'family' funeral.
